A Thousand Words

The phrase “A picture paints a thousand words” is an adage in multiple languages, meaning that complex and sometimes multiple ideas can be conveyed by a single image, or, in this case, an expressive painting. And sometimes certain pictures can communicate its meaning or essence even more effectively than a thousand words could. 

I enjoy writing poetry and short stories for my work, but to do that with this painting would be, I am certain, a disservice to my audience. So, I’m leaving it up to you. You decide… What’s YOUR story about this painting? How does your story begin? What’s it about? And how does it end?
