A Thousand Words - Original Oil Painting

The phrase “A picture paints a thousand words” is an adage in multiple languages, meaning that complex and sometimes multiple ideas can be conveyed by a single image, or, in this case, an expressive painting. And sometimes certain pictures can communicate its meaning or essence even more effectively than a thousand words could. 

He asked her, "What will you give me?"
"The moon is already taken, but I'll give you the stars," she replied. She drew a quick diagram of the Orion constellation and handed it to him. At the time he didn't think much of it. A simple illustration of some stars on a piece of paper. But then, years later, he realized that every time he saw those three stars he thought of her. And sometimes he whispered her name into the cool morning air.
