Anywhere Like Heaven

Hungry, lost, and afraid, he sang her a lullaby. As she gently rested her head on his shoulder, it felt like home. Somehow, right then and there, he knew this was as close to heaven that he would ever get. 

This painting was inspired by some lyrics in an old Don McLean song... 

"And I love you so 
The people ask me how 
How I've lived till now 
I tell them I don't know… 

The book of life is brief 
And once a page is read 
All but love is dead 
That is my belief"
