Harvest Time, Morning on the Farm - Original Oil Painting
Original oil painting 36" x 24"
“Harvest Time, Morning on the Farm”
The inspiration for this oil painting came, in part, from my personal idea of a dream property. I’ve always been fascinated with barns, and little family-owned farms.
My ideal farm is, I’m sure, much different than most. For instance, my barn wouldn’t have animals, except for a couple of cats. The bottom floor would have a proper, tavern-style bar, plenty of room for two pool tables, a foosball table, some vintage pin ball games, and one of those 1950’s Wurlitzer juke boxes with a collection of size-45 vinyl records of my choosing. The back half of the hay loft, with windows overlooking the sunrise, would be my office/art and music studio. And the front, just behind that big loft door – an eight-seat theater room with a 16-foot-wide screen.
Okay, we can throw in some audio recordings of cows and other farm animals for a network of outside speakers throughout the property. Yeah, I think my plants would like that. But then again, my plants also like Jimi Hendrix, so... decisions, decisions.
