I stood on the tall walking bridge overlooking this majestic scene in Tacoma one morning just before sunrise. Most of the light on the ground is from street lights, while the water reflected the most incredible, deep blue. The Chetzemoka ferry had just left for Vashon Island, and the only sound was the turbulent water bubbling and churning behind the ferry. I immediately knew that if my cell phone could capture it, I’d be painting it. And so I did.

It gives me great joy to share that special morning with you. And even greater satisfaction knowing that anyone can own a fine art print or gallery-wrapped canvas transfer of it.
