The inspiration from this warm, summer day painting actually came from the sound of a bumble bee whizzing past me on his way to some far-off destination. I often wonder how such amazing creatures view the world we share… He flew so straight and fast, like a jet aircraft in route to a precise location somewhere ahead. The smells of summer were everywhere, including the lavender fields ahead – which was probably his destination…
